Top 10 Luxury Car Sales Leaders of 2025

Luxury vehicles don’t move off dealership lots as quickly as mainstream cars. Due to a mix of price and exclusivity, premium models generally sell more slowly than mass-market alternatives.

But it’s all relative. Manufacturers such as Audi, Cadillac, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz still shift hundreds of thousands of luxury vehicles annually—from high-end sedans to top-tier SUVs.

So far in 2025, a number of luxury marques are already positioned to set sales records. And with three and a half months remaining in the year, there’s still opportunity for other automakers to make gains.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of the 10 best-selling luxury vehicles through the first half of 2025. See if you can spot a pattern.

10. Audi Q5: 22,914 Units

Cracking the top ten, Audi’s compact crossover entered 2025 with an entirely new design. The third-generation Q5 is presently being offered alongside the outgoing model until stock runs out. Despite the overhaul, sales were down 7 percent through the first half of the year.

9. Cadillac Escalade: 24,375 Units

The Escalade continues to be Cadillac’s priciest offering—and by a wide margin its best-seller. Sales have risen almost 27 percent compared with the first half of 2024, helped in part by a 2025 refresh that introduces a standard full-width dashboard display. Meanwhile, the all-electric Escalade IQ has also made an impact, with 3,766 units delivered so far this year—but Cadillac splits these sales between variants.

8. Lexus TX: 25,147 Units

Lexus’s three-row TX remains a favored option for families, providing a flexible mix of gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. It’s aimed at buyers who need extra room without sacrificing efficiency or refinement.

7. Buick Envision: 28,737 Units

The Buick Envision is benefiting from a sales lift after a significant refresh. For 2024, it gained a revamped interior and revised front styling to align with the rest of the lineup. Those updates have paid dividends—sales increased 30 percent through the first half of 2025.

6. BMW X3: 29,029 Units

BMW introduced an all-new X3 for 2025, but sales are down 16 percent so far this year, trailing its nearest rival, the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Still, with nearly 30,000 units sold, the X3 remains BMW’s second-best-selling model here.

5. Mercedes-Benz GLC: 29,355 Units

Just ahead of the BMW X3 is Mercedes-Benz’s second-highest seller, the GLC. Now in the third model year of its second generation, the compact crossover continues to offer a variety of hybrid and AMG variants. Notably, the plug-in hybrid provides one of the segment’s best electric-only ranges at 54 miles.

4. Mercedes-Benz GLE: 29,434 Units

By now, the pattern is apparent: SUVs dominate the luxury market. Take the Mercedes-Benz GLE, for instance. Previously known as the ML-Class, the GLE has been available in its current iteration since 2019. Yet it still tops Mercedes-Benz’s lineup in sales—beating the GLC by fewer than 100 units through the end of June.

3. BMW X5: 33,588 Units

The BMW X5 has been on sale in its present generation since before the pandemic, but a 2023 refresh has helped it retain its spot as the brand’s top-selling model. With an array of premium features and several engine choices, the X5 continues to appeal to buyers.

2. Lexus NX: 38,253 Units

The second-generation Lexus NX remains a strong performer, thanks partly to its broad selection of powertrains—including hybrid variants. The compact crossover outsells important rivals like the updated Acura RDX and Genesis GV70, keeping its advantage in a competitive class.

1. Lexus RX: 52,888 Units

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you—the Lexus RX is genuinely that popular. Even though the fifth-generation model debuted in 2022 and Lexus has made few significant changes since, the RX remains the best-selling luxury vehicle in the U.S. so far in 2025. Sales are down slightly by 4 percent this year, but the RX continues to draw buyers with multiple powertrain choices and a wide suite of luxury amenities.
